Are We Living In A Computer Simulation?
by metatron inhttp://www.simulation-argument.com/
i'm supposing that the above is a serious philosophical argument.
it is difficult to argue against but also largely unfalsifiable.

Differences Between JWs in the US and Europe
by BU2B inthere are many cultural differences between the general population of the us and europe, what about jws?
i have heard about such things as beards being allowed, movies that a jw cant watch in the us or would be frowned upon watching being ok, same with tv shows, and even the way they dress in public.
seems more laid back over there if this is true.. any truth to this?

I was doing the sound for a year or so. Once before the meeting I didn't shave and had about 2 days of stubble. An elder came up to me and told me I needed to shave. He let me do the sound for that meeting but wanted me to be warned not to come to the meeting unshaved again. They are facial hair Nazis here in Colorado. They will allow a nicely trimmed mustache.

There is a Mole in Brooklyn
by Oubliette inreading cedar's excellent article about the july 15, 2013 new-light" study edition of the watchtower got me thinking:.
the control freaks in brooklyn known as the governing body (aka fds) must be having conniption fits knowing that there is a mole in bethel leaking information to apostates!
"three weeks ahead of its expected release date in mid-april, a scanned copy of the july 15 2013 "study edition" of the watchtower was leaked to the office of jwsurvey by a conscientious active witness within the organization.".

Stillin - I think if i find one or 2 that I like I will buy them online. They are a lot cheaper if i buy in bulk. The Cusano M1 was about 50% less online than the single I bought at the shop.
Don't cut off too much. You'll want to get a very hot lighter too!
check and check!
Zoiks - I will probably invest in a humidor eventually. This is going to be a really enjoyable spring/summer...for me, not Mrs Dazed... Just enjoyed the remainder of the M1.
Mrs Phizzy lives in mortal fear that I will get hooked on 'baccy again, but I don't think one huge cigar once in a while is likely to do that to me.
Mrs Dazed feels similar

Dazed
Do you see the gap between the belief in spirits and the belief in god? She has experience w spirits, but not w a god.
S
I see the distinction. I never gave it much thought. Either way it makes sense that a god would be more difficult to reach than a spirit, like as king would be over his servants. Either way, I don't believe in spirits or god/gods.
